Book Club Facilitator: Marlene Alsin
Book Club meets the 3rd Monday evening of each month, except during December, at 7:30 pm. Members take turns reviewing the books (not a requirement) and leading the discussions. Meetings are held in the members homes, and sometimes at the church. In the fall, a committee selects the book titles for the following year. Parish Callers Parish Callers is a ministry of prayer and care to elderly or those who cannot regularly attend worship. A Visitor Team may be comprised of a single person, or as when Jesus sent the Disciples out, we sometimes pair up to bring personal attention. Parish Callers sometimes visit simply for conversation, or to deliver flowers or other expressions of connection with the congregation. They are also trained and equipped to administer the sacrament of Holy Communion. If you would like to be a part of this intentional ministry to long time members, contact the church office. We will equip, train, and assign you to a long time member in need of loving and personal attention. |
FAITH LUTHERAN FOUNDATION4805 WEST 67TH STREET Faith Lutheran Foundation is a separate 501 c 3, which exists to empower community change and to fund ministry and community efforts outside of the work of the congregation. Men's Breakfast GroupFacilitators: Richard Anderson, Charles Erickson and Dwight Reece The Men's Breakfast group meets 8:30-9:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at Denny's Restaurant, 95th Street at I-35 (next to the La Quinta Inn). Congenial atmosphere and good conversation, along with a monthly topic and special speaker, add up to an interesting time of fellowship with friends. |
